When the weather allows, we offer three full league seasons: Fall, Winter and Spring. So, whether you’re a recreational player or someone competitive; if you’re 6, 106 or somewhere in-between, the Poynette Curling Club is sure to have a league suitable for you.
Fall League:
The fall season usually begins around the first or second week of September and goes through the end of October, offering 7-8 weeks of play
Winter League:
The winter league season is the longest season, beginning around the first week of November and going through to the end of March.
Spring League:
The spring season usually begins around the first week of April and goes through mid-May, offering 7-8 weeks of play.
Fall: Monday Night- Open League
An Open league where any fall member, male or female, may play in any position.

Two draws per night, times are 6:15pm and 8:30pm
Fall: Tuesday Night- Open League
An Open league where any fall member, male or female, may play in any position.
League chair will attempt to form teams from individuals or partial teams who sign up for this league.
Two draws per night, times are 6:15pm and 8:30pm
Fall: Wednesday Night- Doubles (Open format)
A Doubles league that is open to any combination of gender on a team- does not have to be Mixed (one male and one female)

Three draws per night, times are 6:00pm, 7:30pm and 9:00pm.
Fall: Wednesday Night- Open (4 person)
An Open league where any fall member, male or female, may play in any position.

Two draws per night, times are 6:15pm and 8:30pm
Fall: Thursday Night- Open League
An Open league where any fall member, male or female, may play in any position.

Winter: Monday Columbia County Day- Open League
Winter: WISCA Senior- Day League (Tuesdays or Wednesdays)
Poynette has two teams in the 24-team WISCA (Wisconsin/Illinois Senior Curling Association) league.
Games are played on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m., followed by lunch at the host club (one of 11 clubs in south and central Wisconsin, plus Chicago). Open to men 55 and older.
Winter: Monday night 6 week Beginner Skills Clinic
A 6 week skills clinic open to anyone new to the sport of curling. No experience required and all equipment will be provided to you.
This is open to anyone, including winter members who are playing in another league.
This clinic is free to Poynette winter members. Otherwise it is $125 for non members- open to anyone 14+ years old
Winter: Tuesday Night- Competitive Open League (6:15pm/8:30pm)
An Open league where any winter member, male or female, may play in any position. This league tends to have more experienced members and is a bit more competitive.
League chair will attempt to form teams from individuals or partial teams who sign up for this league.
Two draws per night, times are 6:15pm and 8:30pm
Winter: Thursday Night- Open League (6:15pm/8:30pm)
An Open league where any winter member, male or female, may play in any position. This league tends to be more laid back and a great fit for newer curlers.
League chair will attempt to form teams from individuals or partial teams who sign up for this league.
Two draws per night, times are 6:15pm and 8:30pm
Winter: Friday Day- Open League (10:00am/12:15pm)
Games are on Fridays at 10:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. in Poynette. Open to any member.
Spring: Monday Night- Open League (6:15pm/8:30pm)
An Open league where any spring member, male or female, may play in any position.

Spring: Tuesday Night- 6-Week Learn to Curl / Skills Clinic (6-8pm)
Designed for brand-new curlers and those with limited experience, this program teaches the fundamentals of the game in a fun, supportive, and low-pressure environment. Each week includes on-ice instruction from experienced club members followed by game play to help you practice what you’ve learned.
Over the course of six weeks, you’ll learn:

Basic strategy and shot selection

Rules, scoring, and game flow

Curling etiquette and safety
No experience is required — just clean athletic shoes and comfortable clothing you can move in. All equipment is provided.
By the end of the session, you’ll be ready to confidently join regular leagues and continue building your skills.
Spring: Wednesday Night- Open league (6:15pm/8:30pm)
